Canary Release Execution & Validation
Design, setup, and execution of a canary release to a small subset of users to test provisioning, access management, and technical connectors, followed by validation and feedback collection.
Tasks
5Work with Liam Chen (Lead Software Architect) and Olivia Garcia (Principal Product Manager) to clearly define the scope of the canary release. This includes identifying the specific subset of users, the exact provisioning, access management, and technical connectors to be tested, and establishing measurable success criteria for validation.
Based on the defined scope and success criteria, draft a preliminary technical plan for the canary release. This document should outline the proposed setup for user provisioning, access management, deployment steps, monitoring requirements, and a basic rollback strategy.
Schedule a meeting with the core technical team (Liam Chen, Mason Davis, Harper Wilson, Owen Howard, Caleb Turner) to review the drafted technical plan, gather feedback, and finalize the detailed execution plan for the canary release.
Coordinate with the DevOps and engineering teams (e.g., Mason Davis, Caleb Turner) to ensure the smooth execution of the canary release. Continuously monitor system performance, user provisioning, access management, and technical connector functionality, documenting any anomalies or issues.
Collect and analyze all data from the monitoring phase and gather feedback from the canary users. Evaluate the results against the predefined success criteria, identify any areas for improvement, and prepare a summary report for stakeholders.
